Le Blanc-seeing, 1965 By Rene Magritte Lithograph after (d’apres) Magritte, facsimile signed with Magritte Estate watermark, authorized by ADAGP, France. Printed on pure chiffon, Velin de Rives, 300 gr/square meter. This image was recreated by a master engraver and required over eighteen passes through a flat-bed lithographic press to be completed. Each print is signed in the plate, stamped with the seal of the Magriite Estate and signed by the publisher on the verso. This is part of an editon of 300 and measures 30 3/4 x 22 3/4 inches. Le Blanc-seing was done in 1965 and it is part of the collection of the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. The horse goes forward at a dignified pace, carrying the horsewoman through the woods. They are shown in three parts, hidden by the trees they are passing through, in a play of perspective. - Lithograph
